Catch the Fun – Mount Amanzi Style!

Nestled along the Crocodile River in the heart of the Magaliesberg, Mount Amanzi offers a rewarding fishing experience for every level of angler. With a mix of small on-site dams and direct river frontage, you’ll find healthy stocks of carp, bass, barbel, and the occasional kurper and yellowfish in the dams - while the river itself is known for big carp, strong barbel, and impressive yellows for those lucky (and quick!) enough to hook them.

To make the most of your next visit:

Ask reception for an update on current water conditions and the best spots to try that day.
The Mount Amanzi shop sells fishing gear (many anglers swear by steak for barbel in quieter river pools) and remember that Mount Amanzi is strictly catch-and-release to protect our beautiful aquatic ecosystem.
And if the river is running strong, the calm on-site ponds are an ideal alternative, especially for beginners or relaxed weekend anglers.

Resort Upgrades & Refurbs

HONEYMOON SUITE UPGRADE

The Mount Amanzi Honeymoon Suite has been beautifully transformed into a luxurious, modern, and romantic escape. While refreshed for comfort and style, it still holds the natural, rustic charm guests love.

The new décor blends deep navy, mustard, and warm wood tones. | A softly lit timber headboard adds a touch of modern elegance. | The lounge features stylish new furniture, accent chairs, and leafy indoor plants. | Thoughtful details - framed art, fresh décor, and cosy throws - create a warm, inviting feel.

The renewed suite is the perfect hideaway for couples to unwind and celebrate love surrounded by nature.

KAREE MINI GOLF COURSE REFURBISHMENT

The Karee Mini Golf Course at Mount Amanzi has undergone a full refurbishment as part of the Resort’s ongoing effort to improve recreational facilities and guest experiences. The project focused on replacing worn astroturf, repairing and repainting boundary walls and course structures, and improving landscaping to open up the play areas. Pathways between holes were resurfaced and realigned, and debris was cleared to create a safer and more accessible course.

To enhance the atmosphere, decorative lighting was added, including wrapped tree lights and string lighting, making the course enjoyable during the evening as well. The refreshed course now provides a welcoming and enjoyable space for guests of all ages, offering hours of fun and relaxation in a well-maintained setting.

Karee Mini Golf Kiosk Refurbishment

The Karee Mini Golf kiosk has been refurbished and is now ready for use. A new granite counter and durable steel shutter allow secure opening and closing, making it easy to provide putters and balls during school holidays, as well as refreshments and ice cream for guests. This upgrade is part of the wider Karee Mini Golf improvements, adding to the overall enjoyment and recreational offerings in the Karee camp.

We are very excited to unveil the refreshed Mount Amanzi Shop — redesigned to offer a brighter, more organised and enjoyable holiday shopping experience. From upgraded displays to new snack offerings, the shop has been fully prepared for the festive season.

NEW SNACKS TO TRY ON YOUR NEXT VISIT: Samoosas, Chip & Dip, Boerewors Rolls, Iced Coffee and a variety of delicious Milkshakes.

RESORT BRANDED MERCHENDISE:
Exclusive Mount Amanzi branded caps, shirts and casual holiday wear are now available alongside many other holiday essentials.

NEW LOOK, BETTER FLOW:

OTHER RECENT PROJECTS

Kiddies & Heated Pool Surface Refurbishment
The resurfacing project for the Kiddies and Heated Pool was successfully completed. Both pool surfaces were repaired and coated with a new durable blue waterproof finish to enhance longevity and improve the visual appeal of the areas. The refurbishment included detailed surface preparation, patch repairs, and application of a high-performance waterproof coating to prevent future deterioration. The upgraded finish brightens the pool areas significantly and restores a fresh, inviting appearance for guests.

Reception Makeover
The Mount Amanzi Reception Area has been refreshed to create a bright, welcoming space for guests. New upholstered seating, upgraded lighting, and a decorative wooden feature wall bring warmth and style, while the exterior courtyard has been refreshed with repainted benches, colourful planters, and subtle décor. The makeover keeps the Resort’s natural, tranquil charm while giving the area a modern feel.

Reception Information Display
A new digital display at Reception provides guests with easy access to restaurant specials, spa promotions, upcoming activities, and key Resort information. Rotating visuals keep guests informed and enhance the arrival experience.

QR Code Table Talkers
All chalets now feature table talkers with QR codes, giving guests instant access to restaurant menus, spa treatments, and general Resort information. This makes it easy to stay informed while reducing printed materials and supporting sustainability.

Pothole Preparation and Repair
The Resort’s internal roads have been maintained, with potholes cleaned, filled, and compacted using tar mix. This improves driving conditions and ensures safety for both guests and vehicles, with all work carefully supervised and inspected for a smooth, durable finish.

Karee Patio Tile Project
The Karee patio and braai areas are undergoing a scheduled upgrade to enhance overall appearance and long-term durability. This includes routine tile replacements, as well as general plastering of steps and braai areas as part of ongoing maintenance. To date, 26 of the 44 units have been completed, with the remainder to be finalised in the next planned maintenance phase.

New Garden Equipment
New garden equipment, including leaf blowers, brush cutters, and both ride-on and walk-behind mowers, has been added.These tools help keep the Resort grounds neat and well-maintained, particularly around ponds, pathways, and open lawns.

Conference Sound Equipment Upgrade
A new in-house sound system has been installed for conferences and events, including speakers, a mixer with MP3/Bluetooth, and wired and wireless microphones. This allows professional-quality audio on-site without outsourcing, improving efficiency and guest experience.

Neslapa Lighting Upgrade
Eight new LED lights have been added to the Neslapa, offering bright white lighting for formal events and coloured settings for dances and evening entertainment. The upgrade makes the space more versatile and inviting for a variety of functions.

Fence Line Cleaning and Invasive Plant Removal
All fence lines and riverfront areas have been cleared of vegetation, and invasive plants have been removed. This improves accessibility, safety, and maintenance while supporting the natural growth of indigenous plants along the riverbank.

Resort Tree Pruning and Maintenance
Routine tree pruning and maintenance have been carried out across the Resort to keep the grounds safe, tidy, and visually appealing. Overgrown branches were trimmed, and trees assessed for health, ensuring a well-maintained and welcoming environment for all guests.

Amazing Holiday Memories

Father’s Day
Mount Amanzi staff welcomed guests with heartfelt appreciation for all fathers over the long weekend. The Reception was filled with smiles, themed décor, and little touches that made dads feel truly celebrated.

Heritage Day
Heritage Day was marked with vibrant traditional attire and a festive atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the display of culture and unity, making the check-in experience colourful and memorable.

Mount Amanzi has proudly hosted a variety of special events this year, from weddings and anniversaries to conferences, team-building days, and lively celebrations.

RED BULL TRAIL RUN

Mount Amanzi Resort proudly hosted a section of the prestigious Red Bull Trail Run. Participants ran through the Resort’s scenic paths, showcasing the natural beauty and serene landscapes along the Crocodile River. The event brought great exposure and excitement to the Resort, with runners enjoying the tranquil atmosphere and well-maintained grounds. The Red Bull team set up their activation area at the Resort entrance, adding vibrant energy with branded vehicles, sound, and banners, creating a dynamic and professional atmosphere for all attendees.

Holiday Options: A Smart, Flexible Benefit for Every Shareholder

Holiday Options gives Shareholders far more than standard exchange opportunities - it offers real flexibility, convenience, and value. Beyond traditional exchanges, members can enjoy Bonus Weeks, which allow for spontaneous, last-minute getaways without using points.
