Elephants are truly fascinating creatures. Their intelligence, gentle nature, and playful behaviour never fail to amaze. Lately, the Mabalingwe elephants have been full of energy, exploring and interacting with their surroundings in ways that delight everyone who watches.

On a recent game drive, guests were treated to a breathtaking moment when a majestic elephant wandered incredibly close to the game drive vehicle, so near it almost felt within reach. The sheer size, quiet strength, and gentle presence of this incredible animal left everyone in awe. Experiences like this remind us how special it is to be surrounded by the beauty and wonder of the wild at Mabalingwe.

How Mabalingwe's Bushveld Has Flourished After the Fire
In September 2023, Mabalingwe Nature Reserve faced one of its toughest challenges - a devastating veld fire that swept through large sections of the bushveld. The fire left a blackened landscape and a quiet stillness that was difficult to imagine ever changing.

But nature, as always, had other plans. Two years later, Mabalingwe stands as a living testament to the resilience and regenerative power of the African bushveld.
