Mabalingwe - The Oasis Update
Wildlife Sightings   |   Resort News   |   Resort Upgrades   |   Resort Events   |   Blog   |   Notices
Another year has come and gone, and we have watched in awe as the thick vegetation of the Waterberg curled up for a winter's sleep, before transforming into a haven of vibrant greens. This 'new life' was also evidenced by the birth of wildlife offspring, and the delight of flowing water: "life finds a way". And, just like life ebbing and flowing with the seasonal changes, Mabalingwe has also found
its way: ways to celebrate every achievement, ways to experience the best of the bush, and ways to ensure that each family, couple, group of friends, or even the occasional solo traveller; makes lifelong memories during their time here with us. On that note, please take a moment of your time to look back with us at your favourite Waterberg escape 2019 highlights.
A round of applause for a job well done!
Mabalingwe once again retained Gold Crown status at the annual RCI Awards, and placed as the fourth runner-up for the prestigious Top Gold Crown Resort – Large Category - overall; mere points separating the victor. Congratulations to the Mabalingwe Team!
Mabalingwe also received the prestigious Certificate of Excellence award from TripAdvisor for consistently proving to be a favourite holiday spot; as is evident from the numerous reviews left by happy travellers.

Kalahari Oasis
Kalahari Oasis Pub has seen quite a few major changes this year as part of its facelift. The Pub is approximately 20 years old and is looking incredible; we've added a swimming pool, shaded areas, sound system, larger kitchen with a pizza oven and we've updated the bathrooms. Everyone involved with this mighty project made a wonderful effort!
Jumping Pillow
Our team lives by the motto, "Nature, Family, Fun… and Making Memories" and that is why we "jumped" at the opportunity to add this awesome new feature: a Jumping Pillow! Take the kiddies for a fun bounce on your next visit to Mabalingwe; an activity the whole family can enjoy. Please refer to the Jumping Pillow notice board for times and age group allocations.

Mbali Day Spa
Everyone who loves Mbali Day Spa will be ecstatic to know that the Spa has introduced LCN to the product line. This premium nail product, which is vegan-friendly and imported from Germany, leaves hands and feet fresh and beautiful. Pop in this December for your LCN experience to celebrate Mbali Day Spa's one year birthday!
New Aircons
The Mabalingwe Team heard the cry for air-conditioners and added the project to the 2019/2020 project plan, after a number of guests and Shareholders requested air-cons in their Units. We are happy to report that this project has commenced and will soon provide all guests with cool rooms. These air-conditioners are pre-paid and tokens can be purchased at Reception.

Another family-friendly facility is currently under construction at Mabalingwe and will be ready to welcome pattering feet and the sound of laughter during December: our new Multi-Court! Guests will be able to enjoy soccer, netball, basketball, cricket and tennis on this court. It's certainly going to be the 'place to be' this December!

Women’s Day

A truly lovely day; the women at Mabalingwe were fussed over in the best possible way.

Mabalingwe engagement

A lovely couple visiting the Resort enlisted the help of our dedicated team to stage a proposal. The gentleman escorted his soon-to-be bride to a stunning lookout point where he proposed; they enjoyed chocolate-dipped strawberries, champagne and the incredible view. Congratulations to the happy couple! Enlist our team’s assistance to make your occasion super-special:
