Kridzil Newsletter December 2019

Stand on the shore, feel the soft seaside breeze dance across your skin, drink in the salty air and feel the sand between your toes. There is nothing better than spending time with your nearest and dearest at your home-away-from-home.

As the Festive Season arrives and another year draws to a close, we would like to get you into a ‘beachy’ state of mind and share a few of the highlights from Kridzil’s eventful year.

So... What’s New at Your Favourite “Slow” Coast Resort?

Earlier in the year, Kridzil bid a fond farewell to Patrys Bensch; but fortunately it’s not “goodbye” as he is still part of the VRS family and has relocated further down the coast to Uvongo River Resort, where he has taken over the reins as Resort Manager.

We wish him all the best on his new adventure.

Tanya Viviers joined the Kridzil team during the first half of the year and has been doing an excellent job bringing some welcome special touches and warmth to the Resort. We are delighted to advise that Tanya has been promoted to the position of Resort Manager, taking over the leadership role very capably from Patrys. Tanya is very creative and has many surprises up her sleeves.

Resort News

Jan de Vries joined the Kridzil family in October 2019 when he transferred from Caribbean Estates. Jan forms part of our hard working Maintenance team. He is very dedicated and goes beyond the call of duty to ensure all of our guests have the best and most memorable stay with us.

Christina Prinsloo has been part of the Kridzil family since June and has expertly taken on the Administration roll. She works closely with Tanya and has a very caring personality. She enjoys making everyone’s stay memorable and will go out of her way to do so.

Vincentia Shabane has been with the Kridzil family since 1997 and is part of the Housekeeping team. In July, Vincentia was in a terrible Taxi accident and spent 28 days in hospital. The Kridzil family visited her often and we are so pleased to report that she has made a full recovery and is back where she belongs, at Kridzil.

In September we welcomed a newlywed couple, who spent their Honeymoon with us. We made sure that their stay with us was one they will never forget and pulled out all of the stops to treat them to a truly special and romantic time. Keep The Good Times Rolling...

Each year brings with it a multitude of fun days and holidays to be enjoyed and celebrated; Kridzil always sits up to take notice and to make guests feel super-special (as they are).

Father's Day

All of the Kridzil dads staying with us were spoiled rotten on Father’s Day. Fathers were given handmade goodie bags on arrival, which were decorated with a moustache and top hat, and filled with delicious snacks and treats.

Women's Day

Women love to feel pampered and valued. The Kridzil team spoiled all of the ladies on Women’s Day with a special Kridzil Pamper Kit, which included a fragrant shampoo and conditioner, as well as a moisturising body lotion.

Spring Day

The Kridzil team crafted handmade boards for Spring Day. These boards were inscribed with special and unique sayings and were given to all of our Shareholders and guests as gifts upon arrival. Everyone who checked in on Spring Day were also welcomed with an assortment of juices and snacks.

Heritage Day

On Heritage Day, guests were entertained with a traditional African dance and enjoyed delicious snacks, such as boerewors rolls, milk tart, and packets of popcorn with various South African sayings written on them.

Did you know that we support African Blessings? This Non-Profit and Public Benefit Company cares for its community, children, animals and the environment. Their latest project is to raise the much needed funds for a new tractor for their farm.
